AP US Government & Politics

Welcome to the WikiGovt page! This site will be used to create a resource page for our AP US Government classes.

When to contribute?

You will be required to contribute during the weeks that you do not have a Current Events Quiz. I've included a calendar at the bottom of this page to help you keep track. Like the class blog, your week's contribution is due by Sunday at midnight, but remember that you have the entire week to contribute.

Within each chapter's pages, there will be areas to contribute to:
  • definitions
  • text notes
  • class notes
  • connecting theory to reality
  • study questions (with answers)

How will you be graded?

During our discussions about the Wiki, many of you stated that quality, not quantity should be the guiding principle. We're going to have to feel our way around this until we settle on what equals what. Until then here's what you need to contribute and how you will be graded. (Each week's contribution will be worth 10 homework points.)
You may choose from the following:
  • definitions (3 definitions - in your own words)
  • text notes (2-3 sentences)
  • class notes (2-3 sentences)
  • connecting theory to reality (2-3 sentences)
  • study questions (with answers) (2-3 sentences)
  • Expanding/cleaning up information will be judged on a case by case basis. Our goal is to have information that we can use, so correcting bad info is a valuable contribution.
